Some nice “thank yous” were received in response to Richfield Rotary’s Spanish-English Dictionary and Book Project and our contributions toward the City of Richfield Dog Park and Universally Accessible Playground projects.  Read on to see some wonderful messages!
Spanish-English Dictionary and Book Project

Colleen Mahoney, Principal of Centennial Elementary School, penned this nice thank-you note:
On behalf of Centennial Elementary School, I would like to offer our sincere thanks for the books and dictionaries you donated and delivered to our school.  I assure you, they will be read and loved.  It was so thoughtful to include Spanish books in the collection.  These books will truly meet the needs of our school population.
We feel very fortunate for your support of Centennial’s students, staff, and families.

Lisa Hendricks, Executive Director of Partnership Academy, wrote:
We very much appreciate the support of the Richfield Rotary especially during this time. We promise to put the books and resources to good use and look forward to having [Richfield Rotary members] out to visit the new school on the other side of Covid 19.

Matt Olson wrote on behalf of the third grade teaching team from Partnership Academy:
The third grade team at Partnership Academy would like to send a HUGE thank you to you and the Richfield Rotary Club for your donation of books to our school and classrooms. The dictionaries combined with the other books will be a wonderful tool for our students. The additional titles you chose will be a great resource for us; in particular, the Zapato Power and Sofia Martinez series are student favorites and Yuyi Morales is a favorite author (In the fall, our catchphrase was to make our students' self-created books into "Yuyi Morales Books" with their depth and visual appeal). We will look forward to exploring the other books as well, especially the biographies during our World Changemakers unit.
Again, thanks so much for partnering with us and for your generosity to our students and school. We greatly appreciate your donation, and we are excited for our students to be able to learn from these books!

Thank you so much for the wonderful email and generous donation from the Rotary Club of Richfield! We are excited to make both the dog park and the universally inclusive playground projects come to fruition, they will be well utilized amenities. Both projects could not happen without community support, thank you.

Mayor (and fellow Rotarian) Maria Regan Gonzalez added, “A huge thanks to the Richfield Rotary for such a generous donation and for all your support. This is truly exciting!”
